Share the love!

Welcome to day 30 of our Craft Room Organization Challenge.

You did it!

You stuck with me — and your craft room — for 30 days. We’ve purged, cleaned, sorted, boxed, labeled, stored, and everything else.

I know my craft room is rocking. It looks nothing like how it was when I started. Now I can find things and love working in my room.

How’s yours doing?

Send me a photo! I love to hear from you!

So now that you’ve organized your craft space, I want to leave you with one last challenge — to keep it clutter-free.

Challenge 30: Keep Out the Clutter

This will likely be your biggest challenge yet. All of us can declutter a room … but can we keep it that way? I know I have a really hard time with this myself. Somehow stuff just finds its way in, despite my best efforts. Do you know the feeling?

So the last challenge is to commit to keeping our craft rooms uncluttered. I’ve been working on this diligently lately and I’ve come up with several really awesome tips and tricks that are helping tremendously:

  1. Guard your craft space. Don’t put anything in there, or let anyone else put things in there, unless it BELONGS in there.
  2. Tidy up after every crafting session. If you don’t do that for some reason, tidy up before your start again.
  3. Avoid impulse and recreational buying. Only buy something if you have a need and purpose for it already.
  4. Keep a “To Donate” box near your craft space and regularly put things in it
  5. If something comes into your craft space, pick something you really don’t need and remove it. Consider it an exchange.

Day 30 Assignment: Take a picture of your craft space when it is clean and organized. Print it out or make it your computer’s desktop image. This is your goal. Keep your craft space looking clean, organized, and tidy. Share your organized craft space with us on Facebook, too! We want to see what you’ve done.

Thank you so much for coming along with me on this organizational adventure! Please let me know how I can help you beyond this — I’m always open to ideas.

Happy crafting!
