Welcome back to day 19 of our Craft Room Organization Challenge.

We’re getting there—we’ve got storage for bunch of things in our craft spaces. But I firmly believe in the old adage, “A place for everything and everything in its place.”

When everything has a place to go, it’s so much easier to put it back when we’re done using it, don’t you think?

I know that my paper tower has made a tremendous difference in my ability to keep my paper put away and organized. I always have a place for my paper, even my new paper, because I created it with extra room.

But I have more craft supplies than just paper—I have a fair amount of vinyl, felt, ribbon, paint, and so on. These things need dedicated storage. So let’s talk about Supply Storage.

Challenge 19: Supply Storage

The best way to store your supplies is to keep them both accessible and all together. And, if you have the space, it’s even better if you can keep it visible as well. Supplies are going to be most accessible if you can see them all to choose just the one you need at a moment’s notice. This is why my paper tower is working so well.

Here are some ideas for pre-made storage for various supplies I’ve found:

Paint

Paper

Ribbon and Washi Tape

Beads and Little Things

I myself am a fan of DIY solutions for storage, though you probably already know this. I am making a paint storage display for my wall from an old cookie tin and some 4″ wide PVC pipes. The paint containers will rest on their side in the circular shapes, which I will put up on my wall in a flower pattern. It’s going to be both functional and pretty! As soon as I finish it, I’ll put it up on my blog.

Day 19 Assignment: Determine if you need storage for your craft supplies. If you find a great way to store your supplies, take a picture and share it on Facebook. If you have a plan for something, draw it out or find a photo of something similar and share it with us.

Until tomorrow,
