Welcome back to day 22 of our Craft Room Organization Challenge.

You’ve made it through the first three weeks of our craft room organization challenge! You’ve purged, collected, assessed, and procured more storage. Now what??

Now we put it all back into our cleaned craft space in an organized, easy-to-use fashion.

This final week of our Craft Room Organization Challenge is all about actually organizing our stuff in our spaces. We’re going to focus on how we can put things into our storage units, boxes, bins, drawers, shelves, and organizers so that we can find it when we need it.

Let’s start out with one of my favorite things … labeling!

Challenge 22: Label Everything

I have a story to tell you. Back in, oh, 2001 or so I picked up a labeler from the office supply store. It was simple—you just typed in a word on the keyboard, pressed a button, and a sticky-backed label came out. The label wasn’t very big and it wasn’t very pretty, but I loved it. After I finished using it for the work task, I set about labeling EVERYTHING IN MY HOUSE. I labeled my cupboards with their contents so guests could always find things. I labeled the double light switches that were always confusing me. I labeled the boxes and bins I used to store things.

It was glorious.

And ever since then, I’ve been a HUGE fan of labels. It just makes it SO easy to find your things when you have it labeled. And even if you’ve got an amazing memory, does everyone who visits and hangs out in your craft space know where to find things? No. Label everything.

You can label in a few different ways:

  • Buy pre-made labels that you can write the name(s) on
  • Create your own labels using a labeler or a cutting machine
  • Make labels with chalkboard vinyl so you can write on it with chalk and relabel later if necessary

I’ve done it all, because in the end, what matters most is that you’ve got a label on it.

But I have a gift for you!!

I’ve made you some labels that you can use for your craft room. I have ones you can print and ones you can cut on a cutting machine (like a Cricut). Get them now at https://jennifermaker.com/free-label-templates-organize-craft-room
