Day 11 Gift for MAKE IT MERRY: 25 Days of DIY Maker Projects & CraftsThis year I’m hosting our annual family Christmas Eve celebration and I’m so excited! My family has been getting together on Christmas Eve (a very German tradition) since long before I was even born. We take turns hosting it at our homes and this year is my turn! I’ve already ordered the food (I am NOT a happy cook) and so now I’m thinking about decorations and eating implements. So for Day 11 of my MAKE IT MERRY: 25 Days of Maker Projects Christmas, I’m making Santa Personalized Party Cups!

This is such a simple project, you guys! All I’m doing—as you can probably tell— is gussying up a boring red plastic party cup with Santa’s accouterments: a black belt, gold buttons, and a white beard!

But I am going one step further and personalizing each cup with a name. We usually just write our names on with a Sharpie, but this is so much better!

How to Make Your Santa Personalized Party Cups

First, download Design #74 which are my free SVG cut files from my free resource library and upload the file to your design software. If you’re not sure how to upload an SVG cut file to Cricut Design Space, watch this helpful video training series I made.

To personalize the design, you’ll just want to type a name with an appropriate font in Cricut Design Space (or whatever design software you use), position it in the middle of the belt, and slice it out.

Once you’ve got your Santa belt personalized, cut out all of your vinyl pieces.

Carefully apply your vinyl pieces to your red plastic cups. I designed and sized these specifically for the Target red plastic cups, so if yours don’t fit, you may need to slightly enlarge or shrink them. The only part you could have a problem with is the belt. Definitely do a test cup before you make a whole bunch of them.

And that’s all there is to it. Pretty easy, huh?
