I made some delightful tumblers and wind spinners featuring my highland cow PNG files, but you can also use these designs as serene highland cow clip art to make wall art, stickers, baby shower invitations, and tons more sublimation and Print Then Cut projects. There’s a whole host of ways you can use these sweet baby animal images!

Tumblers are super fun to sublimate, especially the skinny, straight-sided tumblers I have linked in my materials list. Just follow the directions from my Easy Sublimation Tumblers tutorial! There’s tons of useful information there, like how to use different tumbler wrapping methods, as well as how to get a nice-looking seam. Aren’t these tumblers adorable when decorated with highland cow art portraits?

If you use the highland cow designs to make a wind spinner, follow my Sublimation Wind Spinner tutorial. And remember that it may get a lot of sun. This can dull the image over time, so it’s a good idea to apply a clear coat to protect it. After it’s sublimated, take it outside with some UV Resistant Clear Coat Spray and a cardboard box. Good ventilation is super important when working with the clear coat, so don’t try doing it inside! Place the spinner in the box to keep the spray contained, then spray a light layer of clear coat over the it. Let the spinner dry for 10 minutes, then flip it over and spray a coat on the other side, too.

Like I said before, I used AI image generators to render these highland cow painting designs. AI-generated images are a fun new way to expand your crafting potential! Artificial intelligence image generators are powerful tools that use combinations of real artwork to create specific imagery depending on your prompt.

It works like this: You describe the image you’re imagining, and the AI software brings it to life! Not only can you generate incredible collections of customized art in seconds, you can use your own high quality images made with AI to make handmade pieces with sublimation!

With all this talk about AI-powered images, are you curious how to make your own? I can show you how! Stop sifting through expensive stock photos, and explore AI images based on your own prompts. I show you how to write the best prompts to turn your imagination into an image you can sublimate in my AI Art Design Workshop.

I can’t wait to see how you use the images from my highland cow PNG sublimation designs bundle on so many more items and surfaces. If you have a project in mind, check out my Sublimation Cookbook! It has more than 150 sublimation “recipes” with basic instructions for different blanks. It’s my go-to source when I can’t remember the temperature, time, or another detail for a sublimation project.

The tools and materials for the different projects are available at their tutorial links, but I’ve added a basic supply list below to get you started. As with all sublimation projects, you will need a sublimation printer with compatible paper and ink. See my post on picking the best sublimation printer for your needs! And remember, the dye sublimation process produces fumes, so always keep a window open and a fan going. And if you want to make a 3D items that won’t work with a heat press, use a sublimation-specific oven or air fryer, not your cooking appliance. Always craft safely!

Answers to Your Questions About My Highland Cow PNG Designs Bundle:

Q: What do I need to start sublimation printing?

A: Sublimation does take some special tools and supplies, but I’ve put together a list of my recommended sublimation supplies and blanks to help you choose!

Q: How do I test my sublimation prints for vibrancy and color?

A: A piece of advice I always recommend is to use my free subliflower design to see how your colors look on the special paper! It’s Design #385 in my resource library!

Q: How do I learn sublimation for beginners?

A: Join Sublimation Startup for a logical, step-by-step guide to getting setup for success with sublimation! You can ask questions and feel confident that you’ll get help! Q: How do I make a sublimated wind spinner?

A: Just follow my tutorial! If you use images of your own design, be sure the main element of your work (the subject) is in the middle of the file. That way, it will sublimate onto the solid middle of the wind spinner and be easier to see.

Q. Can you sublimate tumblers in a regular oven?

A: No, once you use a convection oven for the sublimation process, it is no longer safe for food grade use. You should have a dedicated convection oven or air fryer for sublimation projects.

Q: What materials can you not sublimate on?

A:  Whether you’re sublimating a cute cow or another subject, if the surface of your blank isn’t made of or coated with a polymer like polyester, it likely will not hold sublimation dye. There are a few exceptions (like wood – though I did get the best results when it was coated with white acrylic paint), but for the most part you want to make sure the material is made of or coated with a polymer. When in doubt, look for blanks meant for sublimation, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the recommended temperature and other details for a successful sublimation.

Q: Where can I get images to use for sublimation on tumblers and wind spinners?

A: In addition to my free resource library, check out Cricut Design Space, Adobe Photoshop, Design Bundles, Silhouette Studio software, Creative Fabrica, Creative Market, Font Bundles, and other online marketplaces for images, photos, and illustrations! Or you can use AI programs to create your own unique AI images!

Q: How can I learn more about sublimation?

A: Can’t remember how long to press that sublimation blank? Not sure what order to stack your layers? Confused about how to get the best transfer? The Sublimation Cookbook can help, with a step-by-step guide for over 150 different sublimation blanks. Each of these “recipes” show you exactly what to use, how long to press, how hot to press it, and how to take care of your sublimated project for long lasting results. I’ve also got tons of free videos on my blog to help, and other resources like how to find free fonts to use in your projects!

Q: What if I make a sublimation mistake?

A: Good news! Mistakes are a natural part of creativity and great learning opportunities, and I’ve put together a list of some of my sublimation mistakes and how to avoid them.

Q: Can I sell these designs on my Etsy shop/online store?

A: Thank you for wanting to create and sell items to interested buyers using our highland cow PNG designs bundle! Please read about licenses here so you know what you can and cannot do.
