It’s spring and time to get in shape! I’ve been doing Weight Watchers Simply Filling for three weeks now and it’s going very well. But exercise is still lacking. Having heard so many good thing about the FitBit from my friends, I sprang for three FitBit Flex bands (yes, my Alexa gets one, too!). I’ve only had it for less than a week now, but so far so good. I keep it on all the time and it’s not bothering me. It’s motivating me to walk when I can — I’ve taken two walks this week, which is a big deal considering it is still very cold (below freezing) out and I really REALLY dislike walking in the cold. I’m also motivated to squeeze in extra steps — like parking further from the store and taking the stairs instead. Alexa has beat me every night in the leaderboard, but that’s okay — it makes him feel good and also motivates him. He’s been doing a little walking every night just to get to 10,000 steps!
As I told Alexa, the FitBit is like a MagicBand for life! It’s fun, and I’m looking forward to getting more steps in when it gets above 50°F outside. In the meantime, we’re going to Lowe’s today to just walk around and move. Hey, it’s better than nothing!
P.S. For my friends who may be wondering why I bought three FitBit bands and don’t mention who is using the third, well … that’s a part of why I started this blog. This is MY blog where I can write whatever floats my boat. And I intend to do exactly that … when I’m ready. I just need to muster a bit more courage! I’ve been trying for many years, and I will overcome. Stick with me and please be patient.
