Fall for these super-cute autumn and Halloween friends. I designed these so they can be cut out of either felt or paper. Make a stuffed felt ornament softie to give as a gift or hang as a decoration. Or make paper cards to give to friends and family. You could even make these out of foam or balsa wood! I can’t resist them — I lovelovelove their heart-shaped cheeks.
Here’s are my fall friends — the one on the left is made from felt on the Cricut Maker, while the one on the right is made from cardstock on the Cricut Explore.
And here are the acorn, leaf, and candy corn fall friends made into cards:
The cards all fit into a 5″ x 7″ envelope for convenience. And they are super easy to make!

How to Make Autumn Felt Ornaments (Softies)
First, cut out the felt pieces using my ornament pattern. If you’re using Cricut Design Space, you’ll need to upload the SVG, include it on your canvas, click Ungroup on ALL layers, change the line layers to Write, then attach the line layers to the matching solid layers. See my screenshots below (click each one to get to the attachment page where you can view it larger) to see exactly how each SVG should be prepped after uploading.
Next, pin each layer in place.
Now sew each layer using a backstitch. (If you prefer not to sew, just use a little glue instead.)
Sew the back on the ornament using a blanket stitch starting on the right side of the stem — be sure to leave at least two inches at the top unsewn.
Stuff the inside of the ornament with a little fiberfill — don’t overstuff.
Now finish sewing the ornament at the top, stopping before you get to the top of the stem.
Cut off an 8″ piece of ribbon or string, fold in half, insert the bottom edges into the top of the ornament, and sew or glue down.
How to Make Autumn Fold-Over Cards
First, cut out the cardstock pieces using my card pattern.
Next, fold the large tan layer in half to form the card base.
Now, attach each of the card face layers by spraying the back with spray adhesive or glue, then pressing down into place.

Hi, it looked like you were using your iPad with the design center to upload images. If so how were you doing that? Thanks.
I was not using the iPad to upload images — the images were already saved to Design Space. 🙂 But you may be able to use something like Chrome Remote Access on your iPad to access a desktop computer and upload them that way.
Jennifer!!! Thank you so much, I have gotten so many compliments on my RA bulliten board all my residence love it. You are amazing!!!
